March 10, 2009 - Teaching Children Flier
The Arc of Lincoln is co-sponsoring a workshop: "Teaching Children with Downs Syndrome About Bodies, Boundaries, and Sexuality." The workshops will be held July 16 and 17 at the Lancaster County Health Department. Click here to download the flier.
February 23, 2009 - Dash for Disabilities Flier
Dash for Disabilities is quickly approaching. Download a form by clicking here, and then mail it in with your registration fee to: The Arc of Lincoln, 5609 S 49th Street Suite 5, Lincoln, NE 68516. The event will be held March 22 at the Knight Fieldhouse on Nebraska Wesleyan's Campus.

February 11, 2009 - New Trips
The Trips Page has been updated to include a listing of the new trips the Arc Expeditions Program is planning. Make sure to check them out.
Jan. 22, 2009: Dash for Disabilities - March 22
Dash for Disabilities will be held on March 21st, 2008 at the Knight Fieldhouse on Nebraska Wesleyan's Campus. More info about the event will be up on the web site soon.
Nov. 13, 2008: On-Line Donation System
The web site has a new on-line donation system through Google Checkout. Use the box below, or navigate to the Donate page. Enter an amount into the Google Checkout box, and click "Donate" to get started. Google charges no fee for this system as yet, so all of your money is going straight to help the Arc help people with developmental disabilities and their families in the Lincoln/Lancaster County community. Additionally, remember that all donations are 501(c)(3) tax-deductible. For convenience, the boxes will be sprinkled around the web site, so you should never be far from a couple clicks to help support the Arc's mission.

Sept. 9 2008: New Calendar Up
The web site's calendar has been updated to include a events during this fall. Make sure to check it out.
Sept. 3, 2008: Corporate Members
A list of corporate members is now live on the site. Check out the local businesses in town who have made a committment to help the Arc help those with developmental disabilities and their families.
Sept 2, 2008: Flickr Membership
You may notice to the right that the Arc's photos are starting to be uploaded to Flickr, the photo sharing site. We have an account on the site that will allow photos of events to be shared with our community. Head over to our page soon! (You can follow the link below the pictures to the right).
July 27, 2008: Corporate Memberships
As part of the recent drive for increasing membership in the organization, Arc is now offering corporate memberships. You can download a list of the sponsorship levels by clicking here.
July 25, 2008: Annual Banquet

The Arc Annual Banquet was held on July 10 at the 70th and Van Dorn Valentino's. Attendees enjoyed a presentation on wellness by current Arc Board President Sandy Taulborg. Several awards were given out:

June 16, 2008: Membership Forms
The Arc Board is beginning a big push to increase membership. One idea the board has had is through streamlining the process online. Membership forms are now available on-line for download. They can then be mailed to the office at the address below. An on-line submission system is coming soon. Click here to download the form.
June 3, 2008: DeeDee Eberle Visit Canceled
DeeDee Eberle, Director of Membership and Chapter Development for the Arc of the United States, is no longer able to visit Lincoln.
March 13, 2008: Web Site Updates
The Arc Web site continues to be updated and improved. Stay tuned for a bit of a site tweaking. Also, past issues of the Voice will be up for download.
February 22, 2008: Dash for Disabilities
March is Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month and The Arc of Lincoln/Lancaster County is kicking it off with the Dash for Disabilities 2008 — a non-competitive relay event for people of all abilities–it is an awareness event and a fundraiser.  Dash for Disabilities will be held 1:00 p.m.—3:00 p.m. at the Knight Fieldhouse on the Wesleyan Campus at 53rd & Huntington Streets.  Participants can walk, run, or jog.  To register yourself or a team call Maggie at 421-8866.

October 27, 2007: Arc Thrift Store Open

After much hard work on behalf of the board of director's committee, the Thrift Store is open for business at 2620 O Street (Phone: 476-0406). We areaccepting all donations. A website with more information will be up soon.

October 21, 2007: Harvest Moon Dance

August 11, 2007: Push America Dance
The University Sertoma Club treated the guys from Pi Kappa Phi to a wonderful picnic in the park before they headed over to F Street Rec. Center for the dance. The dance was a huge success with 250 and 300 people in attendance. We had lots of volunteers from Doane’s Special Education class serving refreshments donated by The Original Cookie Company; downtown and The Cooking Company at Westfield as well as Pepsi. Dan Sills of Music Linc, donated his talents as DJ for the evening and the YWCA provided accommodations for the bicyclist’s overnight stay.

February 20, 2007: Dash for Disabilities
Dash for Disabilities was held on Sunday, with a strong participation, albeit somewhat smaller than last year. Mayor Colleen Seng kicked off the event and led the participants around for the first lap, and the Lincoln Police Department's Honor Guard presented the colors.
