What is WIN? Women Investing
in Now (WIN) is an informal group that offers support to women
who share their lives with a person with a developmental disability. This
program offers educational and social opportunities, and allows
women to relax among the company of others that may experience
some of the same situations.
What can I expect at a WIN meeting? WIN
meetings are generally a small group of women who gather to discuss
issues they are experiencing. The group offers enjoyable
conversation, information, support and fun too! Topics are
often generated by the interests of the members attending.
Where and when does WIN meet?- WIN meets 4 times a year. Meetings
are generally held at the Arc office. We serve coffee and other
refreshments during the conversation.
Is respite service provided?- Respite
services are not usually provided, unless members of the group
request it ahead of time.
